REVIEW: Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer

Hello everyone! Now I know the Rimmel London Apocalypse lip lacquer has been super raved about for a very long time but I have never really liked glossy lips on myself, however I thought such a raved product needs to be tried and tested before making assumptions. So I did just that, I went out and purchased the most popular ‘Big Bang’, which is a super pigmented rich red with a cooler undertone (I have never whitened my teeth and look how white they look, always look for cooler undertone lip products if you want pearly white teeth). The website claims: It's the End of Colour as you know it! The intense rich colour of a lipstick, enhanced by a satin smooth shine. It's neither a lipstick nor a gloss... It's BIGGER than both!
I have to admit that I really do agree with this.

This has a simple doe foot applicator with a pointed top for easy application, I like how it glides on. It isn't too thick like a lipstick and is not too sticky/runny like a lip-gloss either however the colour is LOUD! If you are not sure about bold colours then try and dot on little by little then blend and build the colour, I found with this that you have to blend quickly as it does set and stay quickly but it gives a beautiful pink tint to the lips, you can add it to the center of your lips and blend out for a cute just bitten gradient effect, a little goes A VERY LONG way, I did three small dots with the tip of the applicator and got a lovely pinky-red lip. Now you may love the colour but sometimes it can be tricky to pull of such a bold colour with that shine, I love wearing this matte, all you have to do is press a tissue over the lips, blot if you would like, although I didn't have to do that and you are left with an amazing cherry pinky-red colour on your lips, I LOVE IT! (Keep in mind that it may not last as long and may feel drying after a while so add a lip moisturizer)

The lasting power is good too, it lasts for hours perfectly however it you are eating and drinking the shine may go, I didn't mind this, and depending on how long you wear this for and how much eating you do it can get a little blotchy and feel dry in the inside of your lips but after reapplying it looks perfect again and feel moisturizing. One of the biggest pros for me was that it has no scent! Removing this with just water or a tissue or wipe can get a little messy and difficult as the colour really doesn't want to move but with a good makeup remover it will slide right off with no hassle.

Overall a 9 out of 10!

Good Luck
